Released in February 2026 exclusively for the GCC region to coincide with Ramadan, Oud Zuhal is a landmark release from Amouage's most prestigious and technically ambitious collection — The Essences. For the first time in the house's history, the signature double-infusion process turns away from sandalwood and toward oud chips as its central infusion material. The result is a fragrance of extraordinary depth, complexity, and timelessness that Chief Creative Officer Renaud Salmon describes as "remarkable."

Named Zuhal — the Arabic name for Saturn — this fragrance embodies the planet's qualities of steadfastness, solitude, and distant grandeur. Like Saturn completing its 29.5-year orbit, Oud Zuhal is built on patience: six months of double infusion aging in Amouage's Muscat manufactory, where pure bioethanol is aged in custom-made French oakwood barrels before being married to oud chip-infused concentrates of extraordinary quality.

Black Pepper, Pink Pepper, and Cardamom open with a bold, spiced verticality — sharp, medicinal, and immediately commanding. The composition pivots to its monumental core: Patchouli amplifies and earthens the Assam Oud, which is raw, complex, multi-dimensional, and deeply animalic in the most luxurious sense. Indonesian Oud chips from the infusion process and Amber close with a warm, rounded, full-bodied depth that ascends — somehow — into something almost celestial.
