The SWY lineup has been one of the most consistent performers in designer fragrance for years. Stronger With You Intensely is still a go-to for a reason. So when Armani drops a new flanker, people pay attention. Stronger With You Powerfully is the 2026 chapter — and it goes in a direction nobody really expected.
This one's cherry-forward. Not in a candy way, not in a lipstick way — more like ripe dark cherry mixed with that signature SWY gourmand warmth. It's immediately familiar if you know the line, but it's doing something different enough to stand on its own.
What does it smell like?
Opens with cherry and mandarin — bright, juicy, genuinely addictive. The cherry is the star here and it doesn't pretend otherwise. There's a slight tartness to it in the first 15-20 minutes that keeps it from going cloying, then lavender and some warm spice come in and pull it into more familiar SWY territory.
The heart is where the SWY DNA kicks in properly — that slightly herbal, aromatic warmth that made Intensely so wearable. Powerfully does the same thing but with the cherry sitting underneath everything, giving it a sweeter, richer character throughout.
Dry-down is chestnut, vanilla, and amberwood — the SWY base you already know, now with a gourmand sweetness that's more pronounced than any previous flanker in the line. If you love sweet woody orientals this is genuinely excellent. If you're not into gourmand this might not be your move.
Performance
Beast performance for a designer fragrance — easily 10+ hours on skin, strong opening projection that settles into a rich close sillage. Cold weather is where it really opens up.
How does it compare to the rest of the SWY line?
If SWY Intensely is your favourite and you want something in the same ballpark but more unique — Powerfully is worth testing. If you're new to the line and not sure where to start, Intensely is still the safer first pick. Powerfully rewards people who already know they like sweet orientals.
Who is this for?
If you wear Spicebomb Extreme, Eros Flame, or anything in that sweet-spicy oriental bracket — this is going to make immediate sense. Designer pricing with performance that punches well above it. At $94.99 for 50ml and $114.99 for 100ml, the value is genuinely hard to argue with.
Not for everyone — if you run cold on sweet or gourmand fragrances this won't change your mind. But if you're in the target audience, this is one of the most compelling new releases of 2026 so far.
Our verdict
Beast performance from a designer release at a price that makes sense. The cherry angle is polarising but if it works for you, it really works. One of the more interesting flankers Armani has dropped in a while.
